‘Full of variables’, will Tottenham end Son Heung-min’s 15-year ban?

The start of the Premier League is just around the corner.

Tottenham hosts Brentford in the league opener on September 13 at 10pm ET.

Spurs were in crisis last season, finishing eighth in the league. They are looking to rebound with new manager Enze Postecoglou and the signing of playmaker James Maddison from Leicester City.

The biggest question mark is whether Harry Kane will stay. Kane has been at the center of transfer rumors all summer. Manchester United approached and pulled out early, and Bayern Munich made four bids, all of which were rejected.

Still, Munich hasn’t given up, and will meet with Tottenham again later this week to give them an ultimatum to sign Kane.

Kane has one year left on his contract with Spurs, and the player himself is keen to leave. The risk for Tottenham is that Kane could leave for free next summer when he becomes a free agent.

There’s also the resurgence of Son Heung-min. Son became the first Asian player to lead the Premier League in goals two seasons ago with 23. Last season, he was hampered by injuries and his tally dropped to 10 goals.

Throughout the season, Son struggled with a sports hernia, which he underwent surgery on shortly after the season ended. If Tottenham are to make the leap to the top flight and break a 15-year drought, they will need Son’s performance. 메이저사이트
